Woman accused of intentionally crashing her car, pinning her ex-husband, in Phelps

PHELPS, N.Y. — A woman is facing charges after Ontario County sheriff’s deputies say she intentionally hit two cars with her own car in Phelps, pinning her ex-husband.
Marie Anne Tavalare, 43, of Phelps, is charged with criminal mischief, assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies say she had two teenage children in the backseat when she crashed on State Route 96 around 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the sheriff’s office, Tavalare’s ex-husband got pinned between her car and a parked car outside of a home.
Tavalare was arraigned at Ontario County Jail and will answer to her charges in Phelps Town Court.
