The source of this information is Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who in his Power On newsletter mentioned that another version, codenamed B790, is more advanced in development. The product, codenamed B790, has appeared in the second iOS 27 beta app for app developers. This news contradicts previously circulating information that suggested the AirPods with cameras were being shelved, as previously said by Apple product analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in his 2024 projection.
