TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has postponed the implementation of the e-commerce tax, which was previously scheduled to take effect on August 1, 2026. The former Chairperson of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) stated that the implementation of the e-commerce tax is not solely based on economic growth. This is not the first time the e-commerce tax has been delayed. The e-commerce tax policy was originally issued by former Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati on June 11, 2024. The new e-commerce tax policy was previously released by Sri Mulyani Indrawati, while she was still serving as minister, on June 11, 2024.
