As many of you know, tackling this harm is one of my top priorities. Criminals profit from misery, targeting those at their most vulnerable and causing lasting harm across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This successful prosecution removed a significant source of harmful drugs from the streets and sends a clear message to drugs gangs that they’ll be held accountable for their actions. Large-scale drug production often brings wider criminality into local areas and can pose significant risks to neighbouring properties and residents. We must also support those struggling with substance misuse and address the underlying issues that can lead people towards addiction.
