Lauderdale House said the trustees, staff and volunteers were "deeply saddened" to hear of the death of Nick Peacey MBE, who dedicated almost five decades to saving the historic building and playing a pivotal role in shaping its future.
They wrote: "Nick had been a trustee of the Lauderdale House Society since its formation in 1978 and served as chair from 1983 to 2017, providing steadfast leadership, guidance, and advocacy.
Lauderdale House trustee Nick Peacey has died at the age of 83.
Outside Lauderdale House, most of Nick's professional life was spent in the field of special educational needs and disability (SEND).
