Chislehurst Rocks, a not-for-profit event, found its previous venue unsustainable due to increasing infrastructure expenses and a lack of sponsor and grant funding.
It made its debut at Flamingo Park, where a full day of live music, street food, bars, and children’s activities took place for ticket holders.
Rachelle Harte, festival director, said: "We listened carefully to residents who asked for a free-to-enter space, and we were determined to provide it.
The festival’s relocation to Flamingo Park allows it to remain close to its Chislehurst roots while benefiting from improved infrastructure.
Gary Hillman, director of Cray Wanderers, said: "We were delighted to welcome local families and visitors to Flamingo Park for Chislehurst Rocks.
