CIB Ghana, BoG pledge stronger collaboration on ethics and banking resilience, as the institute’s new governing council calls on Central Bank Governor

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB Ghana) have pledged their shared commitment to deepen collaboration, strengthen ethics and professionalism to ensure a more resilient and trusted banking sector.
Also, digital assets, banking sector reforms, future of technology; and the role of AI and quantum computing in defining the future of banking were discussed.
Both institutions underscored the importance of closer collaboration in addressing emerging risks and strengthening the standards and human capital required to sustain confidence in the banking sector.
He also outlined the Bank’s effort to ensure rigour of verifications in the banking sector, and ensue success of community banking reforms.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of CIB Ghana and the Bank of Ghana to building a sound, resilient, ethical and trusted banking sector that supports sustainable economic growth.
