Number Eighteen Honey, based in Boxford near Sudbury, has been awarded a coveted two-star rating at the 2026 Great Taste Awards for its ginger, turmeric and black pepper-infused honey.
The recognition follows earlier success for the couple, who won a Great Taste Award in 2024 for their wildflower honey.
Rather than using powders, Trudi prepares the infusions by grating fresh ginger and turmeric root directly into their raw soft-set honey.
Alongside their award-winning blend, the couple also produce varieties such as chilli honey and honey with nuts—products they say stand out in a market where many producers tend to focus solely on traditional pure honey.
They are currently in the middle of their harvest season, producing around two tonnes of honey each year.
