The enforcement effort, which took place between July 20 and 24 and on July 27 in Yoxford, aimed to disrupt criminal activity and target road users travelling to the Latitude Festival. The operation focused on organised crime groups and individuals using the road network to commit cross-county offences. Sgt Julian Ditcham of the Sizewell Abnormal Loads Team said: "The results of the operation speak for themselves. "The 17 arrests for drug-driving are particularly shocking – these are people putting the lives of all road users at risk." "The number of drivers on our roads with either vehicles unfit for the road, or unfit to be behind the wheel themselves, absolutely amazes me," Mr Passmore said.
