SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – During its regular meeting on August 11, 2026, the South Lake Tahoe City Council will consider approval of an employment agreement with Hilary Roverud for appointment as the City’s next City Manager. Prior to her appointment as Interim City Manager, she served as the City’s Assistant City Manager beginning in October 2023. Roverud brings more than twenty-five years of public sector planning, development, and leadership experience, including 21 years with the City of South Lake Tahoe. Throughout her career, she has held progressively responsible positions within the organization, including Planning Manager, Deputy Director of Development Services, Director of Development Services, and Assistant City Manager. She led the establishment of the South Tahoe Transit Joint Powers Authority and serves as its Executive Director.
