The award, often described as Ukraine’s 'Oscar for Charity & Mercy,' recognises those who have demonstrated exceptional service in charity, medicine, and humanitarian work. "I accepted this award on behalf of the entire International Aid Trust family, whose love, sacrifice and faithfulness have made this ministry possible for the past 35 years. International Aid Trust was founded in Chorley in 1991 and now operates from headquarters in the town centre, with a distribution warehouse in Tarleton, near Preston. The charity has long been involved in supporting Ukraine, especially through the years of conflict and since the full-scale invasion. International Aid Trust continues to deliver aid to conflict zones, hospitals, and front-line communities across Ukraine.
