Marsden Building Society made the donation to Pendleside Hospice through its Affinity Saver accounts, which allow customers to support one of four charities by saving money. Rob Pheasey, chief executive at Marsden Building Society, said: "Pendleside Hospice delivers an invaluable service to people across our local communities. Each year, Marsden donates 0.5 per cent of the total average balance of all Affinity Saver accounts to the selected charity. The Affinity Saver is available to both new and existing Marsden Building Society members and can be opened in a branch.
