London six-piece Man/Woman/Chainsaw have paired off to divide and conquer this press day, just over a week before the release of their debut album ‘Cannonball’. ——Signing to Fiction, record label home to legends like The Cure and St. Vincent, opened doors in the album-making process. Unwilling to restrict themselves, Man/Woman/Chainsaw instead deal in energy, spanning moods and shades of light and dark over the course of the record. Man/Woman/Chainsaw are a rare case: a band that survived high school. “High school bands that carry on get stuck with names like Man/Woman/Chainsaw,” Cherry laughs.
