Photo credit: caaasc.orgSPRINGFIELD — Get ready for vibrant colors, lively music and dancing in the street as the Springfield Caribbean Carnival & Parade returns on Saturday, Aug. 15. The Springfield Caribbean Carnival & Parade is the largest and most public event put on by the group. There are about 30 separate island nations and territories in the Caribbean, and the parade represents many of them. Once the parade reaches Blunt Park, it will meet a carnival atmosphere with music, live performances, Caribbean artisans, cultural workshops, children’s activities and various Caribbean foods, as well as American fare.
