Fire engines, ambulances, squad cars and armored vehicles stormed Heartland Park – not for an emergency, but for National Night Out. She brought their rig and a crew to Park Rapids on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Carin Arvik and her 20-year-old horse, Penny, are members of the Hubbard County Sheriff's Mounted Posse. The Belgian Malinois is handled by Park Rapids Police Sergeant Rob Gilmore. The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office K9 Ace took down a suspect in a simulated arrest involving the SWAT team.
