166 e-bikes and e-scooters were seized during a high-impact day of action in Dublin yesterday. Gardaí carried out 96 searches in the region, seizing seven high-performance electric dirt bikes, four scramblers and three quads. Almost €26,000 in cash was also discovered, along with drugs worth over €150,000 and a sawn off shotgun and ammunition. A garda spokesperson says:"Gardaí conducted a high-impact day of action under Operation Meacán in the Dublin Metropolitan Region yesterday. "Along with yesterday’s enforcement, Gardaí also engaged with members of the public in the Dublin Region on current regulations in relation to motorcycles, e-bikes, e-scooters as well as the new regulations due to come into effect this month."
