(Image: Getty)Working alongside local law enforcement, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and the Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) remain on the offensive in cracking down on illegal gambling. Uthmeier and the FGCC say the arcades are filled with illegal gambling machines that put consumers at risk. Through June 2026, Uthmeier says another 3,114 illegal gambling machines have gone offline. Uthmeier contends that illegal slot arcades are also magnets for crime, including drugs, and support criminal organizations.
