A Dublin councillor has renewed calls for the National Transport Authority (NTA) to fast-track a long-promised bus service linking Blanchardstown with Dublin Airport. The proposed N8 route, part of the BusConnects network, would provide a direct connection between Dublin 15, Dublin Airport and Clongriffin. The service was originally expected to launch last year but has been delayed due to resource and operational readiness issues. AdvertisementTransport Minister Darragh O'Brien has most recently indicated that the route is expected to begin operating by the end of this year or in early 2027. Councillor Walsh said the N8 should now be prioritised to provide a long-awaited direct connection to Dublin Airport and improve public transport options for residents across Dublin 15.
