In a press note, the DEO said the revision aims to ensure that no eligible citizen is left out of the electoral roll while no ineligible person is included. The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of each Assembly Constituency will be responsible for conducting the exercise. The draft electoral roll will be published on September 20. It will include the names of existing electors who have submitted their duly filled Enumeration Forms during the house-to-house enumeration period or whose forms have been submitted online and verified by the BLO. The DEO said names of electors whose Enumeration Forms are not received within the stipulated period will not be included in the draft roll.
