According to the weather outlook issued by the NSDMA, localized thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light rain are expected across most districts on August 6. Most other districts are expected to witness localized thunderstorms with light rain at scattered locations. Longleng is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall, while "Zunheboto may witness localized thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by moderate to heavy rainfall at scattered locations." Kiphire, Peren, Tseminyu and Tuensang are also likely to receive light to moderate rainfall. Most other districts are expected to receive light rain.
