KOHIMA, AUGUST 5 (MExN): Continuous heavy rainfall across Nagaland has triggered flooding, landslides, road damage and disruption of connectivity in several districts, prompting restoration and response measures by district administrations, District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) and line departments. In Chümoukedima district, waterlogging was reported at Ward-9, while a portion of the Jharnapani–Molvom road was washed away. A road and culvert between New Chümoukedima and Rüzaphema Village also sustained damage due to the heavy rainfall. In Peren district, flooding and waterlogging were reported at Kelielwa Colony in Jalukie. The release stated that road clearance operations were carried out on the Phek–Chozuba Road via Runguzu Nawu Village, and the road blockage between Losami and Phek Village has since been cleared.
