The YMCA Adult Repertoire Dance Company will share the stage with several local performing arts groups later this month for an evening celebrating dance, creativity and live improvisation. “In Motion: An Evening of Dance and Improv” will be presented Monday, August 17, at 7 p.m. in the St. Joseph High School Auditorium, 2521 Stadium Drive. The one-hour performance will feature original contemporary dance works by the YMCA Repertoire Dance Company along with guest appearances by Fusion Center for Dance, CPR Dance: Inhale Movement, Sunset Coast Country Dancers and Gut Instinct Improv Comedy. The YMCA company will premiere two original contemporary pieces developed through a collaborative creative process involving the dancers themselves. Organizers say the performance is designed to bring together artists of different ages, backgrounds and performance styles for a community-centered evening of entertainment.
