The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating after Marine One reportedly flew less than a mile away from a commercial plane above Washington, D.C., this week, with President Donald Trump on board.
Tuesday's incident happened despite an established policy requiring commercial air traffic out of DCA to be stopped whenever Marine One leaves the White House.
The FAA said an air traffic controller was in contact with both the commercial pilot and the Marine One pilot during the incident, according to the agency.
