"Moe" Battiato, age 84, of Derry, New Hampshire, formerly of Lawrence, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, surrounded by his devoted family. Born in 1942, Moe was the beloved son of Salvatore L. and Charlotte M. (Scandurra) Battiato, both of whom predeceased him. He leaves behind his brother Frederick Battiato, sister Joy Speigel, and many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his daughters, Gina Liato and Sarah (James) Maravelias, and will be reunited in heaven with his beloved son, David Battiato. Born deaf, Maurice learned to speak and read lips at a young age, but his disability never held him back.
