By ANGELA FARR KINGThe Taylorsville Town Council met for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.During the meeting, the Town Council appointed two new Town employees. He said the Town Council and the Town Manager didn’t follow their protocol because he saw people “watering their yards every day, sometimes twice a day, and washing their vehicles behind their houses and Town employees were watering these flowers downtown.” Finance Director Kimberly Sager asked the Town Council to consider a contract with the audit firm Strickland Hardee PLLC for the Fiscal Year 26 audit. Town Clerk Christian Childers certified the sufficiency of the petition for annexation and the Council voted unanimously in favor of it. There will be a special called Town Council meeting on Monday, August 10, at 5:30 p.m. and the next regularly scheduled meeting will be Tuesday, September 1, at 5:30 p.m.
