LETTER: Why are we bringing more fuel to the fires? Kids, adults and seniors are cloistered inside their homes amid record high temperatures because the alternative is migraines and aching lungs. And among all this, Danielle Smith and Mark Carney are planning to build a tax dollar funded pipeline to push even more carbon into the atmosphere. I don’t think the profits to a few oil company shareholders are more important than clean air to breathe, do you? We must stop adding fuel to the fires and use this tax funded pipeline money to build a clean energy economy in Canada instead, one that can let us catch our breath and slow the accelating devastation of climate change in our province.
