A North Carolina man has been sentenced to 48 months in federal prison following a traffic stop and hotel search in Lewis County that uncovered thousands of fentanyl stamps, U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey announced. Shawn Galin Whitley, Jr., 35, of Charlotte, North Carolina, received the four-year sentence for his role in distributing a large quantity of fentanyl within West Virginia. After removing Whitley from the car, deputies searched him and discovered $2,040 in cash alongside five fentanyl stamps in his pocket.
