With a history spanning a century and a half, Gresford Cricket Club (CC) stands as a testament to community resilience and passion for cricket. Club secretary John Bell recognises the club's deeply rooted village identity and its unwavering commitment to local talent. The club also takes pride in the unwavering growth of its women’s and girls’ section. Not reluctant to celebrate this facet of the club's diversity, it hosted a softball cricket festival in the women's and girls' honour this May. However, the club stands strong today, ready to celebrate and look towards a promising future.
