The inquest in Ruthin on Tuesday (August 4) into the death of 29-year-old Ryan Stephen Morris, from Trevor, near Llangollen, heard he was on his way to work in Corwen, where he was a plant operator for Ifor Williams Trailers. Thomas Parry, who stopped to help, said others at the scene said Mr Morris "had been driving like a maniac". Mr Morris suffered major crush injuries and was certified as dead at the scene. He said that Mr Morris appeared to have taken the bend wide, swung back into his own lane, then "fishtailed" into the path of Mr Ellis's van. In a statement read at the hearing his grandfather Stephen Buckley described Mr Morris as "a healthy, happy and much-loved family member" who was a hard worker, often working 60 hours a week.
