Bolton-based Handrail Creations, a UK specialist in handrails and balustrades, has invested in a wireless, AI-driven 3D scanner to expand its manufacturing capabilities and support a growing portfolio of work. "Investing in cutting-edge technology like the 3D scanner allows us to capture precise data much faster, giving our teams accurate information needed to produce accurate CAD models for manufacturing." The scan data forms the foundation of Handrail Creations’ CAD modelling, enabling the team to build accurate 3D models of bespoke handrail systems before production begins. Mr Macfarlane said: "This streamlines our production process so we can continue to consistently deliver high-quality projects to customers." In Q3 2025, it took on 130 new projects totalling over £1 million, a 20 per cent increase from the previous year.
