As of the afternoon of Wednesday, August 5, police, including forensic officers, were still at the scene on Yewdale Avenue in Breightmet, having been called in the early hours of Tuesday. As the investigation entered its second day, well-wishers left flowers and a teddy bear holding a star-shaped soft toy outside the property as police officers continued their work.
