The American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) recently released a new clinical guideline on the management of adult bronchiectasis.
Published in the journal CHEST®, the guideline contains 13 evidence-based recommendations that will create standardization in the management of bronchiectasis.
Without appropriate management, patients can experience increased exacerbations, reduced quality of life, declining lung function, and increased mortality risk.
The entire list of recommendations included in the new guideline can be accessed through the CHEST journal website in the article titled, “Management of Adult Bronchiectasis: An American College of Chest Physicians Clinical Practice Guideline.”
