Jaipur: Rajasthan's Drug Control Organisation has reported that the overwhelming majority of medicines tested during July 2026 met the prescribed quality standards, with 579 out of 587 drug samples (98.64%) found to be of standard quality. Only eight samples (1.36%) were classified as Not of Standard Quality (NSQ), reflecting the state's continued surveillance efforts to ensure the availability of safe and effective medicines. The monthly quality assessment was carried out by the Drug Testing Laboratory as part of the state's routine drug surveillance programme, which monitors the quality of medicines available in the market. The initiative is aimed at protecting public health by ensuring that medicines supplied to consumers comply with prescribed quality standards. She noted that the continuous surveillance programme is intended to safeguard public health and ensure that only quality medicines reach consumers.
