Police Inducts AI-driven Drones as First Responders in Hyderabad, Future City

Hyderabad: As part of the next phase of police modernisation in Telangana, Director-General of Police C.V. Anand on Wednesday announced the introduction of AI-enabled drones on a pilot basis in the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Future City commissionerates.
Speaking at the launch of the integrated Dial 112 emergency response system, he said the drones would act as aerial first responders, providing real-time visual intelligence during fires, road accidents, disasters, law and order situations, crowd incidents and search and rescue operations.
Anand said the roadmap for the Telangana Emergency Response Support System (TG-ERSS) includes expanded use of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, smart city integration, multilingual virtual assistants, drone-assisted operations and advanced decision-support tools.
The programme was attended by senior officials including Shikha Goel, V.V.
Kamalasan Reddy, Dr M. Ramesh, B. Sumathi, Vikram Singh Mann, Charu Sinha, Gajarao Bhupal, Satyanarayana Reddy and S. Chandrasekhar Reddy.
