BENGALURU: A total of 263 two-wheelers were seized by officials of Transport Department on Wednesday over their unauthorisedly engaging in commercial services through operating Bike Taxis while the permission was for private use. The checks on Bike Taxis will go on for about a week. The move by Transport officials came after Auto Rickshaw Associations threatened to lay siege to RTO offices against Bike taxis operating in the city. Arun Kumar, a Bike Taxi operator, stated RTO officials should have created awareness first before taking to seizure of two-wheelers.
