VIJAYAWADA: Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Andhra Pradesh have risen more than six-fold during 2025–26, compared with the previous financial year, the Centre informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Replying to a question by YSRC MP Dr Maddila Gurumoorthy, the Union government said Andhra Pradesh received $92.13 million (about ₹760 crore) in FDI during 2023–24. It said Andhra Pradesh had emerged as an attractive investment destination because of faster approvals and a favourable industrial ecosystem. The food processing sector received $107.30 million, followed by cement and cement products with $99.90 million. The services and research and development (R&D) sectors together attracted $59.96 million in foreign investment.
