The Andhra Pradesh Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Wednesday completed the seven-day custodial interrogation of suspended circle inspector S.S.V.V. Following the interrogation, the SIT took Naga Raju to a government hospital for a medical examination before producing him before the Second Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class Court. The SIT also submitted the audio and video recordings of the interrogation before the court. The magistrate directed the investigating officer, L. Sudhakar, to appear before the court. The court instructed the investigating officer to strictly adhere to the Supreme Court’s guidelines while conducting the interrogation and not to harass the accused.
