Kadapa: A disturbing surge in murder cases across Rayalaseema districts is raising serious concerns among residents, particularly students and parents. More than 25 murders have been reported in Kurnool, Kadapa, and Nandyal districts in the past six months, with a shift in the nature of violent crimes in the region. Traditionally, murders in Rayalaseema have largely been linked to factional feuds. “These back-to-back incidents have created fear and anxiety among the public, especially among youth and parents,” said a local resident. With rising suicides, road accidents, and now a spike in murders, law enforcement agencies are facing mounting pressure.
