Traquair House welcomed visitors in to its re-enactment of a 1474 royal hunting party on Saturday (August 1) and Sunday (August 2).
It formed part of Traquair’s Living History weekend, aiming to bring the past to life for guests to the estate.

The house was open for guests to explore, while also participating in food and drink displays, medieval crafts, archery and other aspects of day-to-day life in medieval times.
Catherine Maxwell Stuart, the Lady of Traquair, added: “It was a great additional attraction for visitors and the pavilions in front of the house could not have looked more fitting in such an authentic setting.”
