John B. Freeman of Oak Bluffs passed away on July 29, 2026. John was an educator for 30 years before retiring to Martha’s Vineyard. He was a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Martha’s Vineyard, and all the ministries connected to UMC of M.V. John also loved working for the Island Queen, where he interacted with all the people coming and going in the boarding area in Oak Bluffs. John was much loved by his wife, Marilyn Freeman; and children, Kerry and Brian (Becca); and grandson Charlie.
