The Hermiston City Council at its meeting Monday, July 27, approved the purchase of six new police vehicles. The council unanimously approved a resolution to purchase five 2026 Chevrolet Traverses and one 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup to replace six of the department’s existing vehicles. Hermiston City Manager Bryon Smith said the vehicle purchases are part of the 2026-27 city budget.
