Speaking to The Courier last month, Perthshire Pride chairperson Jack Simpson, said: “There’s been a lot of right-wing protests in Perth, and I know that they’re starting to aim it towards the transgender community.” ‘Inclusive and tolerant approach’On a visit to Dundee on Wednesday, The Courier asked First Minister John Swinney how the Scottish Government would approach the new guidance given the fears of organisations like Perthshire Pride. The scaled back Perthshire Pride will take place on Saturday with a parade through the city followed by an afterparty at Ice Factory.
