The Edo Government has presented a cash reward of N1 million to Daniel Osagiobare, the fourth best candidate in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Idahosa also said that the award was intended to encourage academic excellence among students in the state.
The deputy governor urged the student to remain focused on his academic pursuits and assured him of the state’s continued support for exceptional talents.
Responding, Osagiobare thanked the deputy governor for the recognition and financial support, describing the gesture as an encouragement to strive for greater academic success.
The student’s father, Christopher Osagiobare, also appreciated the Edo government for recognizing his son’s achievement, saying the reward would motivate other young people to pursue academic excellence.
