Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State on Security Matters, has commended President Bola Tinubu for approving an upward review of the salaries and welfare packages of armed forces personnel.
Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday in Sokoto, Usman described the development as a timely and strategic intervention capable of improving the morale, dedication and operational efficiency of personnel engaged in the fight against insecurity.
Usman also advised governors of the North-West states to strengthen regional collaboration in addressing insecurity, noting that bandits often operate across state boundaries.
Aliyu’s administration to supporting security agencies operating in Sokoto State and maintaining collaboration with federal security institutions to ensure the protection of citizens and the restoration of lasting peace across the state.
By combining kinetic and non-kinetic measures and strengthening regional cooperation, we can effectively confront banditry and build a safer Sokoto State and a more peaceful Nigeria,” he added.
