(IN BRIEF) The GET H2 Nukleus project has reached a major milestone, with the first renewable hydrogen produced by electrolysis in Lingen arriving at Evonik’s Marl Chemical Park through a pipeline network of around 120 kilometres.
(PRESS RELEASE)LINGEN / MARL / MÜNSTER / ESSEN, 5-Aug-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — The GET H2 Nukleus hydrogen project has reached an important operational milestone, with the first hydrogen produced by electrolysis in Lingen, Lower Saxony, arriving in Marl in the northern Ruhr area.
The achievement marks the first successful interaction of all major components within the integrated GET H2 Nukleus system, linking renewable hydrogen production, pipeline transport and industrial use.
The hydrogen is delivered to Evonik’s Marl Chemical Park, where it is available for use in industrial production processes.
The hydrogen produced at RWE’s electrolysis plants complies with EU requirements for renewable fuels of non-biological origin, known as RFNBO.
