The Atlanta Dream were one of the many quiet teams during the trade deadline, as it seemed like the league was mostly content with their rosters. For the Dream, it made sense, looking at what they were able to accomplish in the first half of the season. That would've been a good cue for the Dream to look for adding a wing player to the roster, and it's uncertain if they even tried. Laney-Hamilton is also very familiar with the Dream, playing for them during the 2020 season and winning Most Improved Player. Any other available wing could've done the same thing for the Dream, but the way the trade deadline was quiet, it's hard to tell if anybody wanted to make a deal.
