Advertisement Advertisement AdvertisementGovernor Ademola Adeleke of Osun has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, of freezing the bank account of the state, without explanation. The governor stated that he got a letter from the state’s banker that the anti-graft commission had instructed it to freeze the state’s account. “This morning, we received a letter from our banker, forwarding a letter from the EFCC, instructing the bank to freeze Osun State Government account. Adeleke requested that the EFCC chairman should explain why the state account was frozen and also show proof to support whatever reason(s) for its action. The governor said that the state Attorney General has been instructed to challenge the EFCC’s action at the Federal High Court, Osogbo.
