Pakistan and Iran have agreed on round-the-clock border operations, improving logistics networks, and aligning customs procedures to facilitate cross-border trade. He stressed that Islamabad would continue pursuing sincere diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability across the region. The PM recalled his recent discussions with Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, describing them as productive talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties and advancing regional peace, with special emphasis on expanding trade relations. He also appreciated Pakistan’s leadership and people for their diplomatic efforts to promote regional peace and for expressing solidarity with Iran. Reaffirming Iran’s commitment to expanding economic and commercial engagement with Pakistan, he said technical-level negotiations on a Pakistan-Iran Free Trade Agreement (FTA) are currently in progress.
