The Carpet Capital Camera Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary with an exhibition of members’ photography at the Creative Arts Guild in Dalton throughout August. “Our club has witnessed the transformation of photography from the early days of digital cameras to today’s sophisticated imaging technology,” said club coordinator Linda Hong. The Carpet Capital Camera Club was founded in 2001 by Ron Arnold, a Dalton cable television personality. As digital photography rapidly gained popularity, Young suggested forming a camera club where photographers could share knowledge and keep pace with changing technology. The Creative Arts Guild welcomed the club into its family of arts organizations, where it continues to meet today.
