One Night Only is a romantic comedy that chooses to see the bright side of fascism. That’s right, the government-mandated chastity devices can be customized! But there’s still something chilling about the hard sell One Night Only gives to the idea. It’s otherwise relatively chaste, in alignment with this movie’s not-so-subtle message that premarital sex isn’t the answer if you want to find love. But every time One Night Only attempted to explain the political landscape that led to this situation, I felt myself going a little more banana-grams.
